Civilian Gunfighter 2
Civilian Gunfighter Level 2 builds on the first class and brings students to another level of tactics and effectiveness. Students will learn what it means to implement CQB Tactics as a team, working with other students as a unit. We will discuss tactical considerations of interior movement, room entry, and conducting Post-Engagement Status Checks. The class will finish with small units engaging in scenarios to test their skills as they react and respond to threats in a dynamic CQB Training Facility.

Required Equipment
- Attendees must wear Closed Toe Shoes, NO SANDALS
- Recommended Long Sleeve Shirts and long pants
- Recommended Quality Gloves, either Leather or Tactical style
NOT REQUIRED But you may consider:
- Rifle (Replica or real Firearm) Setup with Sling and any optics and lights you use
- Handgun (Replica or Real) with a holster, and other accessories you want. NO NYLON HOLSTERS
- Any other preferred gear such as Plate Carrier, Chest Rig, Flashlights, Helmets, Night Vision, medical equipment, tourniquets, etc you prefer to train with.
- Hat if not bringing a helmet
The objective of this class is to train with YOUR equipment, Use Good Equipment! But the most important thing is to Train! When we begin scenario training you will be provided with a training replica if you do not have a non-firearm to train with.
Instructor Information
Joseph Sevy
Joseph Sevy is a Veteran Sheriff’s Deputy with experience in several branches of Law Enforcement and Security. Joseph began service in Jefferson County, Idaho as a Detention Deputy, then quickly moved on to Patrol, gaining state certifications in both disciplines. Joseph moved on to working as a School Resource Officer, focusing greatly on investigations and facility security. As a School Resource Officer he was given the opportunity to attend very frequent training in several new disciplines. At that point in his career, Joseph developed a love for training and Instruction. He focused on disciplines such as Facility Security, Threat and Vulnerability Assessment, Active Shooter Response, and Real-World Scenario Training. He is a certified instructor for the ALERRT Program, a nationally recognized Active Shooter Response curriculum taught to nearly every Law Enforcement Agency in the US.
Joseph left full-time Law Enforcement in June 2023 to focus on growing Advantage Professional Training, pursuing his dream of bringing quality scenario training to civilians. He continues to develop new classes and curriculums while continuing to serve as a Reserve Deputy for Jefferson County.
